Located in Northeast Ohio, RRR is a privately owned and funded rat rescue, ran solely by the creator, Harley.

 

Starting back in January of 2018 with nothing but a homemade bin cage and two male brothers from a feeder bin, the Royal Rat Rescue had quite the humble start.

​

Thanks to those two original brothers, Cavalier and Maverick, our owner, Harley, fell in love with rat kind. She soon became the caretaker of three other males- Nugget, Piston, and Pacer. But her love of rats didn't stop there. After seeing suffering rats on Craigslist and in local shelters, she decided that rats were her passion, and there was a great need for rescuing in the northern Ohio area. Thus, the rescue was born.

Most recently, in December of 2018, RRR took on a surrender from an out of contract breeder of a total of seven does, three of which were pregnant, and two of which already had nursing litters.
